Swine Flu Will Likely Sicken Billions But Kill at a Low Rate

A “fast and dirty” analysis of the spread of swine flu far has led researchers to believe that the virus eventually turn into a true pandemic infecting about a third of the world’s population–but they hasten to add that the analysis also suggests that the flu doesn’t have a devastating death rate.

Lead researcher Neil Ferguson, a member of the World Health Organization’s emergency committee for the outbreak, says: “This virus really does have full pandemic potential. It is likely to spread around the world in the next six to nine months and when it does so it will affect about one-third of the world’s population. To put that into context, normal seasonal flu every year probably affects around 10% of the world’s population every year, so we are heading for a flu season which is perhaps three times worse than usual” .

The Analysis, published in Science, also roughly estimates that the flu has a fatality rate of .4 percent, meaning that it kills 4 people out of every 1,000 infected. That makes the swine flu virus about as dangerous as the virus behind a 1957 pandemic that killed 2 million people worldwide. But it’s not nearly as lethal as the bug that caused the 1918 Spanish flu pandemic Seasonal flu has a fatality rate of less than .1 percent, and kills more than 250,000 people each year.

While global hysteria regarding swine flu has subsided somewhat, confirmed cases continue to mount. Yesterday, the World Health Organization said that swine flu has been confirmed in 4,694 people around the world, with the bulk of the cases in North America. Sixty-one people have died, including 56 in Mexico, three in the U.S., and one each in Canada and Costa Rica, health officials said. The U.S. confirmed 2,618 cases in 44 states, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

One mystery is why the virus seems to cause more severe symptoms in young people: U.S. health officials say the median age of people hospitalized with swine flu is 15 years old. Researchers say that could be a troubling sign that young and healthy people are more vulnerable to the virus–but in a contradictory finding, researchers have also found that many of the people who have died from swine flu had preexisting health problems. One possible explanation, says Ferguson, is that flu viruses that resemble the current swine flu virus may be commonly seen in normal seasonal flu epidemics. Adults are more likely to have encountered those viruses and developed immunity to them, and it may be that in some cases this immunity is enough to provide protection against swine flu.

While the findings of this first analysis are far from definitive, they do suggest that world health officials should quickly decide whether to start production of a swine flu vaccine, which could be ready before autumn comes to the northern hemisphere, possibly sparking a new outbreak. “One of the key decisions which has to be made this week by the world community is how much do we switch over current vaccine production for seasonal flu to make a vaccine against this particular virus?” , says Ferguson.

Swine Flu Pandemic Economic Costs

World Health Organization (WHO) declared that the swine flu outbreak in Mexico and the U.S. is a health emergency of international concern.

Reuters has put together a list of estimates of the economics costs that may be incurred if swine flu becomes a full out pandemic.

• The World Bank in 2008 that a flu pandemic could cost $3 trillion and result in a nearly 5 percent drop in world gross domestic product. The World Bank has estimated that more than 70 million people could die worldwide in a severe pandemic.
• Australian independent think-tank Lowy Institute for International Policy estimated in 2006 that in the worst-case scenario, a flu pandemic could wipe $4.4 trillion off global economic output.
• Two reports in the United States in 2005 estimated that a flu pandemic could cause a serious recession of the U.S. economy, with immediate costs of between $500 billion and $675 billion.
• One report, from the Congressional Budget Office, said hospitals would have difficulty controlling infection and might become sources for spreading the illness.
• A second report by New Jersey-based WBB Securities predicted a one-year economic loss of $488 billion and a permanent economic loss of $1.4 trillion to the U.S. economy.
• SARS in 2003 disrupted travel, trade and the workplace and cost the Asia Pacific region $40 billion. It lasted for six months, killing 775 of the 8,000 people it infected in 25 countries.
• Between the autumn of 1918 and the spring of 1919, 548,452 people died of swine flu in the US.

Orgin of Swine Flu

A better understanding of how the new strain of influenza arose

YOU are now officially permitted to blame the pigs. When a strain of influenza with pandemic potential struck in April, it was generally referred to as “swine flu” because it seemed similar to an existing group of strains, known as A/H1N1, which are commonly found in pigs. But when it became clear that the new bug was being spread by people, not porkers, the pig-breeding industry complained that it was being unfairly maligned. It also became apparent that the new virus contains bits and pieces derived from avian and human strains of influenza, as well as porcine ones, further muddying its origins.

A new study, however, suggests pigs really were to blame. Several dozen researchers, led by Rebecca Garten of America’s Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), sequenced full or partial genomes of 76 samples of the new virus, which has afflicted almost 13,000 people around the world so far. In a paper published in Science, they confirm that the closest genetic relatives of the new virus are swine-flu strains from both North America and Eurasia. The virus is made of eight gene segments of known provenance but which have not previously been seen in this combination. The genetic material in them is indeed a hotchpotch derived from avian, human and swine sources, but all eight segments come most recently from pigs.

Swine Flu-Ayurvedic Herbal Treatment

The Ayurvedic treatment of swine flu is aimed at treating the symptoms, controlling the virus, and preventing complications by boosting the immune status of the body. Herbal medicines like Chirayta (Swertia chirata), Tulsi (Ocimum sanctum), Pippali (Piper longum), Vishwa (Zinziber officinalis), Haridra (Curcuma longa), Som (Ephedra vulgaris), Dhatura (Dhatura fastiosa) and Kantakari (Solanum xanthocarpum) can also be used for this purpose. Gastro-intestinal symptoms can be treated using medicines like Panchamrut-Parpati, Kutaj-Parpati, Kutaj-Ghan-Vati, Laghu-Sutshekhar-Ras and herbal medicines like Vishwa, Kutaj (Holarrhina antidysentrica), Musta (Cyperus rotundus) and Bilva (Aegle marmelos).

Herbal medicines with antiviral activity can be used to prevent or reduce the effects of the viral infection. These medicines include Yashtimadhuk (Glycyrrhiza glabra), Tulsi, Bhumiamalaki (Phyllanthus niruri), Haridra, Daruharidra (Berberis aristata), Kutki (Picrorrhiza kurroa), Chitrak (Plumbago zeylanica) and Amalaki (Emblica officinalis). In the case of swine flu, the earlier these medicines are started, the better the therapeutic effect.

It is also important to boost the immune status of the body in order to bring about a faster recovery and prevent complications. This can be done by using medicines like Shatavari (Asparagus racemosus), Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera), Bala (Sida cordifolia), Naagbala (Grewia hirsuta), Abhrak-Bhasma, Suvarna-Bhasma, Laghu-Malini-Vasant, Madhu-Malini-Vasant, Suvarna-Malini-Vasant and Suvarna-Parpati. These medicines can also be used for preventive purposes, both by the normal, unaffected population and also by those who are at special risk; for example, close contacts of affected individuals, and medical and para-medical staff.

The herbal medicine called Pippali has a special therapeutic affinity for the mucosa of the respiratory tract. It can reduce inflammation, swelling and excessive secretions in the lungs, throat and nose. In addition, it also normalizes the damage done to the mucosal lining due to acute and chronic disease. In acute disease of the respiratory tract, it is usually given in small doses along with other medicines. In chronic diseases, it is given in progressively increasing doses till tolerance, or till a pre-determined dose, and then reduced gradually. This tonifying medication is known as "Vardhmaan-Pippali-Rasayan". This can be judiciously used to prevent serious damage due to swine flu infection, or as a preventive medication in individuals at risk.

It is important to take adequate preventive measures to keep the swine flu infection from spreading. Symptomatic individuals should observe voluntary quarantine for a period of seven to fourteen days, which is usually the time the contagious stage lasts. Simple measures like using tissue paper for nasal secretions, and disposing off these, can significantly reduce the risk of transmission to others.

Swine Flu Symptons

Although the name 'swine flu' brings up a lot of extra fear and worry, it is important to note that swine flu is just an influenza A H1N1 virus.

That means that it is just another type of flu virus, just like that causes our typical seasonal flu symptoms. The big difference is that the current swine influenza A (H1N1) virus has components of pig and bird influenza viruses in it, so that humans don't have any immunity to it. That is what made it more likely that it would become a pandemic virus (have the ability to cause a global outbreak) because it could easily spread from person-to-person.

Swine Flu Symptoms

According to the CDC, like seasonal flu, symptoms of swine flu infections can include:

• fever, which is usually high, but unlike seasonal flu, is sometimes absent
• cough
• runny nose or stuffy nose
• sore throat
• body aches
• headache
• chills
• fatigue or tiredness, which can be extreme
• diarrhea and vomiting, sometimes, but more commonly seen than with seasonal flu

Signs of a more serious swine flu infection might include pneumonia and respiratory failure.

If your child has symptoms of swine flu, you should avoid other people and call your pediatrician who might do a rapid flu test to see if he has an influenza A infection. Further testing can then be done to see if it is a swine flu infection. (Samples can be sent to local and state health departments and the CDC for confirmation of swine flu, especially if a child is in the hospital.)

What is Swine Flu ??

Caused by influenza type A virus, there are regular outbreaks among herds of pigs, where the disease causes high levels of illness but is rarely fatal.It tends to spread in autumn and winter but can circulate all year round.

There are many different types of swine flu and like human flu, the infection is constantly changing.

Swine flu does not normally infect humans, although sporadic cases do occur usually in people who have had close contact with pigs.

There have also been rare documented cases of humans passing the infection to other humans.

Human to human transmission of swine flu thought to spread in the same way as seasonal flu – through coughing and sneezing.

The outbreak in Mexico seems to involve a new type of swine flu that contains DNA that is typically found in avian and human viruses.

The World Health Organization has confirmed at least some of the cases are caused by this new strain of H1N1.

"We are very, very concerned," World Health Organisation (WHO) spokesman Thomas Abraham said. "We have what appears to be a novel virus and it has spread from human to human... It's all hands on deck at the moment."

It is genetically different from the fully human H1N1 seasonal influenza virus that has been circulating globally for the past few years. It contains DNA that is typical to avian, swine and human viruses, including elements from European and Asian swine viruses

When any new strain of flu emerges that acquires the ability to pass from person to person, it is monitored very closely in case it has the potential to spark a pandemic.

The WHO is concerned but says it is too soon to change the threat level warning for a pandemic. However, it has convened an expert panel to consider whether to raise the alert level or issue travel advisories.

It might already be too late to contain the outbreak, a prominent US pandemic flu expert said.

Dr Michael Osterholm, a public health expert at the University of Minnesota, said given how quickly flu can spread around the globe, if these are the first signs of a pandemic, then there are probably cases incubating in other parts of the world already.

"Literally hundreds and thousands of travellers come in and out of Mexico City every day," Dr Osterholm said. "You'd have to believe there's been more unrecognised transmission that's occurred."

There is no vaccine that specifically protects against swine flu, and it was unclear how much protection current human flu vaccines might offer.

However, the CDC says two flu drugs, Tamiflu and Relenza, seem effective against the new strain. Roche, the maker of Tamiflu, said the company is prepared to immediately deploy a stockpile of the drug if requested.

Both drugs must be taken early, within a few days of the onset of symptoms, to be most effective. There have also been concerns that some forms of flu have been developing resistance to the drugs.

Scientists have long been concerned that a new flu virus could launch a worldwide pandemic of a killer disease.

A new pandemic flu virus could evolve when different flu viruses infect a pig, a person or a bird, mingling their genetic material. The resulting hybrid could spread quickly because people would have no natural defences against it.

The most notorious flu pandemic is thought to have killed at least 40 million people worldwide in 1918-19. Two other, less deadly flu pandemics struck in 1957 and 1968.

AIR FRANCE-What really happened ?

Was Air France Flight 447 downed by wind and hail from towering thunderheads? By lightning? Or by a catastrophic combination of factors?

Investigators were mulling several theories as to why the plane carrying 228 people disappeared over the Atlantic Ocean, while Brazilian and French military aircraft scoured a vast swath of ocean between Brazil and the African coast for the Airbus A330.

The flight left Rio de Janeiro on Sunday night en route to Paris — only to vanish after issuing an automated message that the electrical system had failed.

Brazil's largest airline, TAM, released a statement late Monday saying that pilots flying one of its commercial flights from Paris to Rio spotted what they thought was fire in the ocean along the Air France jet's route.

Air Force spokesman Col. Jorge Amaral told the Agencia Brasil official news service that authorities were investigating the report.

"There is information that the pilot of a TAM aircraft saw several orange points on the ocean while flying over the region," he said.

Two Brazilian air force jets were conducting night searches over the Atlantic early Tuesday. Six Brazilian aircraft, including two helicopters, were involved in the search, authorities said. The first of three Brazilian ships was expected to arrive in the remote area Wednesday.

Authorities have asked any commercial vessels in the area to aid in the search and France sought U.S. satellite help to find the wreckage. A French search plane took off from a military base in Senegal on Monday, to be joined by two more and a naval vessel.

With nothing more to go on than the last point where Flight 447 made contact — about 745 miles (1,200 kilometers) northeast of the Brazilian coastal city of Natal — search teams faced an immense area of open ocean, with depths as much as 15,000 feet (4,570 meters).

If there are no survivors, as feared, it would be the world's worst aviation disaster since 2001.

On board the flight were 61 French citizens, 58 Brazilians, 26 Germans, nine Chinese and nine Italians. A lesser number of citizens from 27 other countries also were on the passenger list, including two Americans.

French President Nicolas Sarkozy said he told family members of passengers that prospects of finding survivors are "very small."

Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva expressed hope that survivors could be found.

Air France was helping Brazilian relatives of the passengers at the airport in Rio. Bernardo Ciriaco, a civil servant, said he arrived at the airport in a panic because he knew his brother Gustavo was on one of two Air France flights heading to Paris on Sunday night.

About two hours later, he received a phone call from Gustavo, telling him he had landed safely in Europe.

Gustavo told him that he had been bumped to the flight that is missing but had insisted that he be allowed on the booked earlier flight and arrived safely.

"Our family is so relieved," Ciriaco said.

Retired professor Vasdir Ester told the Terra Web site that her 40-year-old daughter Adriana Francisca Van Sluings was on the flight. Ester said Van Sluings is afraid of flying and was very worried before taking the flight.

While what happened to the plane has not been determined, a Pentagon official said he'd seen no indication of terrorism or foul play. The official spoke on condition of anonymity due to the sensitive nature of the subject.

Sarkozy said the cause of the plane's disappearance remains unclear and that "no hypothesis" is being excluded.

The plane was cruising normally at 35,000 feet (10,670 meters) and 522 mph (840 kph) just before it disappeared nearly four hours into the flight. No trouble was reported as the plane left radar contact, beyond Brazil's Fernando de Noronha archipelago, at 10:48 p.m. local time (9:48 p.m. EDT Sunday, 0148 GMT Monday).

But just north of the equator, a line of towering thunderstorms loomed. Bands of extremely turbulent weather stretched across the Atlantic toward Africa, as they often do in the area this time of year.

The plane "crossed through a thunderous zone with strong turbulence," Air France said. About 14 minutes later, at 11:14 p.m. local time, (10:14 p.m. EDT Sunday, 0214 GMT Monday), an automatic message was sent reporting electrical system failure and a loss of cabin pressure. Air France said the message was the last it heard from Flight 447.

Chief Air France spokesman Francois Brousse said a lightning strike could have damaged the plane. Henry Margusity, a senior meteorologist for AccuWeather.com, noted that the thunderstorms towered up to 50,000 feet (15,240 meters) in the area, so it was possible that the plane flew directly into the most charged part of the storm — the top of it.

Other experts doubted a bolt of lightning would be enough to bring the jet down. Some pointed to turbulence as a more dangerous factor.

"Lightning issues have been considered since the beginning of aviation. They were far more prevalent when aircraft operated at low altitudes. They are less common now since it's easier to avoid thunderstorms," said Bill Voss, president and CEO of Flight Safety Foundation, in Alexandria, Virginia.

Voss said planes are built to dissipate electricity along the aircraft's skin, and are tested for resistance to big electromagnetic shocks.

Former U.S. National Transportation Safety Board chairman Jim Hall said that since the A330 is widely used in international travel it was vitally important to locate the black boxes as quickly as possible and analyze what happened to Flight 447.

"At this point accident investigators can't rule out anything," he said. "But these aircraft are designed to withstand almost any lightning strikes or any level of turbulence."

Although aviation experts stressed it was much too early to speculate about the causes of the crash, they noted that the accident was most likely caused by various factors that combined to cause a catastrophic chain of events.

"It sounds like something that evolved into a problem, not something that happened instantly," Voss said. "It would appear that their systems were degrading but we don't know why they were degrading."

The plane disappeared in an area of the mid-Atlantic ocean not covered by radar. Brazilian, African, Spanish and French air traffic controllers tried in vain to establish contact.

Air France-KLM CEO Pierre-Henri Gourgeon said the pilot had 11,000 hours of flying experience, including 1,700 hours flying this aircraft.

Experts said the absence of a mayday call meant something happened very quickly.

"The conclusion to be drawn is that something catastrophic happened on board that has caused this airplane to ditch in a controlled or an uncontrolled fashion," Jane's Aviation analyst Chris Yates told The Associated Press. "Potentially it went down very quickly and so quickly that the pilot on board didn't have a chance to make that emergency call."

If all 228 people were killed, it would be the deadliest commercial airline disaster since Nov. 12, 2001, when an American Airlines jetliner crashed in the New York City borough of Queens during a flight to the Dominican Republic, killing 265 people.

Airbus spokeswoman Maggie Bergsma said it was the first fatal accident of a A330-200 since a test flight in 1994 went wrong, killing seven people in Toulouse.

The Airbus A330-200 is a twin-engine, long-haul, medium-capacity passenger jet that can hold up to 253 passengers. There are 341 in use worldwide, flying up to 7,760 miles (12,500 kilometers) a trip.

NIBIRU's Effect On EARTH

The gravitational pull of a planet entering the inner solar system would have profound effects on the other orbiting bodies, including Earth. In fact, the Anunnaki story says that a previous appearance of Nibiru was responsible for the "Great Flood" recorded in Genesis, in which nearly all life on our planet was extinguished (but saved, thanks to Noah). Going even further back, some researchers into this topic suspect that Nibiru once even collided with EARTH millions of years ago, creating the asteroid belt and resulting in the enormous gouges in our planet that the oceans now fill.

Mark Hazelwood and others say that Earth is in for some massive and catastrophic changes as Nibiru approaches. Floods, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, a pole shift and other natural disasters will be so severe, Hazelwood says, that "only a few hundred million people will survive." Another site says the gravitational pull of Nibiru might even stop the Earth's rotation for three days, citing the "three days of darkness" predicted in the Bible.

Some of the Nibiru researchers also cite the prophecies of Edgar Cayce who predicted that we would soon suffer monumental Earth changes and a pole shift, even though he did not attribute them to anything as specific as a visiting planet. And, of course, the much-analyzed Mayan calendar is said to set the "end of world" in December, 2012.

Astronomers and other scientists who would seem to be in a position to know such things have made no announcements about the approach of any planet-sized body. Apparently, they have not detected anything of the kind. Those who believe Nibiru is approaching, however, say that scientists do know all about it and are just covering it up.

As with any such predictions, time will tell.

Is NIBIRU Approaching ???

Even mainstream astronomers have long speculated that there may be an unknown planet - a Planet X - somewhere out beyond the orbit of Pluto that would account for the anomalies they were detecting in the orbits of Neptune and Uranus. Some unseen body seems to be tugging at them. The finding was reported in the June 19, 1982 edition of the New York Times:

The anomalous body was first spotted in 1983 by IRAS (Infrared Astronomical Satellite), according to news stories. The Washington Post reported: "A heavenly body possibly as large as the giant planet Jupiter and possibly so close to Earth that it would be part of this solar system has been found in the direction of the constellation Orion by an orbiting telescope aboard the U.S. infrared astronomical satellite. So mysterious is the object that astronomers do not know if it is a planet, a giant comet, a nearby 'protostar' that never got hot enough to become a star, a distant galaxy so young that it is still in the process of forming its first stars or a galaxy so shrouded in dust that none of the light cast by its stars ever gets through."

Alien visits ever before ????

In 1938, archeologist Chi Pu Tei discovered a strange alignment of graves in the Baian Kara Ula Mountains, near the Sino-Tibetan border. Also found were cave drawings illustrating beings wearing helmets, the stars, sun and moon. There were also reports of the discovery of small, frail skeletons with unusually large skulls. In 1962, a strange record-like disk found among the graves was translated by professor Tsum Um Nui. Has man been visited in the past by alien beings from other worlds or dimensions? According to some remote viewers who claim to have made contact with alien entities, state that these entities believe us,(and all sentient beings) to be more then just physical beings that age and then die. It is important to note three ancient Hindu text scriptures, the Bhagavata-Purana, Mahabharata and Ramayana Scriptures. These scriptures date back to at least 3000 B.C. and are among some of the oldest writings currently known to man. They speak extensively about flying machines called Vimanas that flew not only the skies, but to the stars as well. India's Vedic writings speak of gods, (they called Devas) from other star systems. They tell of how the human soul is nonphysical and how our sentient energy goes through a succession of physical bodies, as only the physical body dies.

The Mayans believed their predecessors came from the Pleiades. The Mayan Indians of Central America knew the earth was round centuries before the Europeans made this discovery. The Popol Vuh states that several gods, including Hunahpu, Xbalanque, and the great god-king Quetzalcoatl, returned to the stars after their earth life ended.

In India, it was and still is believed that man descended from gods who flew fiery crafts. Early Chinese texts tell of long-lived rulers from the heavens who flew in "fire-breathing dragons". In Tibet there is a book called the Kantyua, which means "the translated word of Buddha". It tells of flying "pearls in the sky" and of transparent spheres carrying gods to visit man. Here to, the belief is of being reborn time and time again and not just to earth. The Royal Pedigrees of Tibetan Kings dates back to the seventh century. It states that the first seven Tibetan kings came from the stars, and goes on to say that they eventually returned to the stars.

Ancient Egyptian legends tell of Tep Zepi, or the First Time. This is described as an age when "sky gods" came down to Earth and raised the land from mud and water.They supposedly flew through the air in flying "boats" and brought laws and wisdom to man through a royal line of pharaohs.

Interpretations of Babylonian and Sumerian writings speak of how man's early history was greatly influenced by visitors from the twelth planet in our solar system. Ancient Sumerians called this planet Nibiru, while the Babylonians refer to it as Marduk. This implies to some that our solar system may contain a tenth planet, since the Sumerians counted the sun and moon also as heavenly bodies. In 1983, the Washington Post News Service reported, "A heavenly body, possibly as large as the giant planet Jupiter and possibly so close to earth that it might be part of this solar system, has been found in the direction of the constellation Orion by an orbiting telescope called the Infrared Astronomical Observatory".

Zecharia Sitchen is one of less than 200 persons able to read the Sumerian language. He is the author of The Earth Chronicles and is responsible for much of the information available today regarding ancient Summerian text and Nibiru, also referred to as Planet X. His theories, derived from these ancient translations, state that this tenth planet came into our solar system about four billion years ago, demolishing another planet, which created the asteroid belt beyond Mars. Sitchen goes on to tell a tale of alien civil war and of colonization efforts on earth to include the creation of modern man. So it goes, a ruler named Alalu was overthrown and fled from Nibiru during a time when the planet was losing it's atmosphere and was dying. Gold found on earth was believed to be able to be used to stabilize the tenth planet. Hardships of the mining operations caused a revolt among the aliens and so they created "modern man", through the genetic manipulation of early humans, to provide labor. At some point, although with great disapproval, some aliens interbred with humans. Sitchen also states that the offspring of these human/alien affairs, are the Nephilim mentioned in Genesis 6:4 (some bible translators have concluded that the word Nephilim "designates ancient heroes who are the product of sexual union of heavenly beings and human women"). Then, around thirteen thousand years ago, the aliens realized that the return of their home world would cause widespread floods and tidal waves on earth. It was then decided to keep this from the humans and allow them to face the coming cataclysm. One alien broke the agreement and warned the human Noah of the impending disaster to come.

Native Americans tell a story of remarkable similarities, about the history of man. This story has its start on August 13, 1947, not long after the famous Roswell crash. Six Native Americans supposedly, came upon a smoldering metallic object in the New Mexico desert. Inside was an injured but very much alive alien being. For fear of the military's capture of the being, they decided to take the being home to care for it. To their amazement, the being was able to communicate images through the use of a small crystal device. Robert Morning Sky, grandson of one of the rescuers, tells the message of the being known to them as the "Star Elder". He claims that the beings name was Bak'Ti and that he has pieced together parts of man's early history from the teachings of the Star Elder. He states that the "Star People" have always been here, since the earth was a barren rock. It was indicated that there had been much involvement with the human species, some benevolent, some not, throughout our evolution. According to Morning Sky's Terra Papers, humans were created through DNA manipulation, to be used as workers for alien mining operations on earth. At one point, an alien leader and brother competed for control of earth and so the leader mixed some of his own DNA into the gene pool, making the humans his children, so to speak. Other DNA was introduced from a bird-like race of high emotions and soulfulness. Over time, two very different humans emerged. One, a docile, easily controlled human, and an emotional and intelligent human, soon to develop independent will. At one point, a fraction of aliens tried to destroy the willful humans by casting them into the wilderness to die and later to face the "Great Floods". However, the creator/leader managed to save a group of humans. Later, an alien leader named Ra, (perhaps the ancient sun god of the Egyptians) sought to eliminate all evidence of man's true history, in an effort to keep the humans ignorant and controllable. But, it is said that Ra lost to an alien race descended from reptiles, which might be known today as the "Greys" or perhaps the reptilians you sometimes hear about.

Dr. Javier Cabrera Darquea, a respected medical doctor of Ica, Peru, has a private museum that includes over 15,000 engraved stones. These "picture rocks" or petroglyphs, were discovered when an earthquake caused a landslide on land owned by his father in Sallas. They range in size from very small to giant boulders. It is believed that they originate from lava flows dating back to the Mesozoic Period, perhaps some 230 million years ago. The images seem to show a human species living amongst the dinosaurs. There are pictures of five-fingered humanoids fighting off giant reptiles with what look like battleaxes. The stones show many different and wonderous things, even what appears to be open-heart surgery. Some depict genetic engineers trying to create Homo Sapiens, first using amphibious life, then reptilian, and eventually early mammals. Some stones show the creation of humanoids without opposing thumbs, which may indicate that they predate the apes, as even the earliest apes had opposing thumbs. There is also what appears to be a second breed created with less intelligence then the protohumans, but these humans had opposing thumbs. It is thought that they were created as "worker bees" to perform labor tasks. The doctor theorizes from the images, that at some point great catastrophies destroyed large numbers of the intellectual humanoids and they made preparations to leave Earth, leaving mostly the lower intellectuals, those with opposing thumbs, behind.

Strangely enough, it's a little-known fact that several archaeological digs have produced skeletons of ancient men and women over 7 feet tall. There has also been excavations of unknown humanoid cultures that indicate a stature smaller than any known pigmy tribes. Some digs have uncovered giants with two rows of teeth. Some have also been found with sharply slanted foreheads and fangs, and one particular burial mound revealed remains of a humanoid with horns protruding out of the skull. This immediately causes ones mind to conjure up images of devils and demons. Ernesto Abbate, an Italian paleontologist, believes that perhaps as many as 20 different species of humans have existed over the last 5 million years. There are skulls in a museum in Cusco, Peru, that have yet to be explained. One is a cone-head shaped skull. Another is a huge, round skull with enormous eye sockets. Then there is a skull that appears to have a double hemisphere, with the capacity for a double sized brain. In 1997 a research team concluded that the mitochondrail DNA of a Neanderthal was so distinctly different from our own, that it is highly unlikely that humans evolved from them through evolution alone. Fossilized footprints have been discovered in places like southwest America that date back 250 million years ago. A possibly 400 million year old shoe print was discovered in Pershing County, Nevada. The fossil even clearly showed what looked like fine double-stitching in the seams. Some have speculated about the possibility of time-travel as an answer to some of these mysteries, but in light of our current dimensional limitations on time and space, it is hard for us to imagine how this would be accomplished.

It is said by some that about 6000 years ago, the Sumerians of Ancient Mesopotamia went from a primitive tribespeople barely living in very crude huts, to an advanced culture with homes, temples, towers, etc...virtually overnight. This is said to be in response to the arrival of the Apkallu who descended in a star. The leader was called Oannes, the "beast with reason". He was said to have resembled a fish-like humanoid and is credited for bringing civilization to the Sumerians and Babylonians. And what about the mysterious Mullion people? I ran across a reference to them in a recent book I read by Art Bell and Brad Steiger, entitled The Source-Journey through the unexplained. In it, there is mention of a culture that appeared very suddenly and only briefly, some 10,000 years ago, along the Algerian coast. According to the book, they consisted of mostly women and children who worked with tool types and domesticated animals, never before seen. Another unusual aspect of these people is that they possess the largest cranial capacity of any known culture. Ours presently averages about 1,400 cc, while theirs was approximately 2,000 cc. Their heads must have looked a little oversized when compaired to our own but one must wonder, at the same time, could this have reflected their intellectual capacity or level of developement?

These are just small examples of some of the countless mysteries surrounding man's early history. Who can say if the cultures still around today, are based on legends and tales of complete and utter nonsense, although it is highly unlikely that there isn't at least some basis of fact underlying some of the events described. Did the idea of reincarnation originate from an alien source or is it merely a coincidence that so many cultures at one time or another believed in it? Can we arrogantly dismiss all such ancient tales of alien visitation, as tales perceived through the eyes of a primative man and merely misunderstood events? You will have to decide for yourself for it would be nearly impossible to prove or disprove an event of so long ago with little to no evidence still around today.

It has been said that, "We are not merely human beings having a spiritual experience, but rather spiritual beings having a human experience".

Aliens & UFOs

Among countless stars, is Earth the only planet blessed with life? Is this some miracle by chance, never to be reproduced on another world? In 399 b.c., the great philosopher Socrates was accused of not believing in the gods in which the state believed. He was tried and found guilty of corrupting Athenian youth and religious heresy. He was sentenced and put to death by the use of a poison he chose to ingest. Galileo was warned not to defend Copernican Astronomy because it went against the doctrine of the church. In 1616, the Roman Catholic Church demanded that Galileo stop teaching the theory that the sun was at the center of the cosmos and everything revolved around it. The belief at that time was that the Earth was the center and the sun (and everything else) revolved around the Earth. Galileo was eventually hauled before the Catholic Inquisition and condemned to house arrest, for life. After 10 years, he died while still under house arrest. We know today of course, that Galileo was indeed (more or less) correct. Thoughout history people have been unjustly ridiculed, harassed, and even severely punished for their views and ideas that didn't seem to quite fit in with the current socially accepted beliefs. Are we arrogant to assume that man is the only intelligent life out there? We think so. Over the past 10 years, we have spent much of our time privately researching this subject, (which is sometimes a hard subject to research, when considering that most people do not feel comfortable publicly sharing their experiences). Although most polls show that the majority of the population believes that the governments are hiding what they know about worldly visitors, the general attitude towards this subject is too often one of total disbelief and ridicule.
Whether for our own protection or their own abuse of power, the reason for this secrecy is unclear. If only the slightest percentage of the hundreds of reported cases are true, then this is something the people of the world need to know about. It would be the single most important discovery of all time. We might need to rethink many of our views on things like our place in the universe and religion. Of course, many initial reactions would probably be those of fear and suspicion. Most of the reports could probably be overlooked if it not for the amount of credible witnesses. If it were just people of little intelligence and unreliable witnesses making the hundreds of claims of UFO sightings and alien visitation, then we could all laugh it off. But unfortinately it's not. Often reports come from more reliable witnesses then perhaps you or I. Reports come in from doctors, lawyers, teachers, police officers, military personnel, pilots, clergymen, etc... from all over the world. Sure, there is a large percentage of claims that can be explained away, often as a simple misidentification. But unfortunately there are also a lot of claims that can't be explained away and remain true unknowns. Much of the evidence that can't be explained is in photographic and video evidence, as a persons credibility is too easy to question or discredit when dealing with personal accounts. Even when there are multiple witnesses, an event is sometimes explained as no more than mass hallucination. Now let us play a little game which will require some imagination on the part of the reader. Assume for a moment that it's sometime in the distant future and you are an explorer among the stars. Now also lets assume that you have just discovered a young earth-like planet, inhabited by primitive lifeforms similar to early man. Would you then reveal yourself and all your advanced technology to those inhabitants? You may of course be looked upon as a god, so to speak. And what of the technology? Sharing it with a society that is not yet mature enough to manage it in a totally benificial manner, might be comparable to giving guns to children, and result in having a very negative overall impact. Would it be right to introduce your own beliefs, culture, and morals? Would you allow yourself to interfer with the natural evolution of a primitive culture or developing species of another world? Would you introduce your own religion? Might your presence perhaps inspire new religions or beliefs?

The skeptic can pose many valid arguments like, "where is the proof or physical evidence". Or, "even if there was life out there, the distance between stars is too great for us to ever be visited". Yet, who can say what technologies a race hundreds or even thousands of years ahead of us might have. Just look what man has accomplished in the last hundred years with science, computers, space travel, etc. Now imagine a race with technology a thousand years ahead of our own. Many will argue that man as a species, is still very young and so is our science, so there may be many ways to overcome the vastness of space that we don't even know about and have yet to discover. As for the proof, it may well be out there, to anyone with eyes open enough to see it. The most frightening, while also the most difficult to accept, aspect of this phenomenon would have to be the claims of Abduction. Whether you believe or not matters little to the abductees. They truly believe these experiences to be real. Your average level-headed individual doesn't just wake up one day and say- "Oh, I think I'll be abducted by aliens today". This is a horrifying experience to those who have not yet come to terms with it. Many believe they are loosing their minds at first. They don't want it to be true. It can't be true. Many would also prefer that they were crazy or delusional. At least if it were an illness, it could be treated. We are not here to say, "Yes, all these people are being abducted by aliens". The fact of the matter is that something is happening to hundreds of people all around the world that doesn't quite add up. There also seems to be a genuine fear of something within a majority of the people involved in the abduction experience. Fear of what? What could be responsible for the unbelievable feelings or emotions that seem to stem from some incredible experience that has literally shaken the foundation of that persons belief system? We are not referring to the type of people who make wild claims for attention. Science has yet to discover a mental disorder that could be even partially responsible for abduction claims. Skeptics will often try to explain it away as nothing more than Sleep Paralysis.
After all, do we not assume the role of the alien abductors when we go out and track down an animal we are interested in studying? First we locate a specimen, then we put the animal to sleep. We capture it and then run whatever test or experiments we wish. Then we tag the animal for monitoring, tracking, etc...and release it back into its enviroment. Sounds a little familiar to most abductees. Those that have moved past the fear stage, usually seem to be very intelligent and spiritually enlightened individuals. Often, such people develop a deep concern for how we live and interact with our environment and each other. According to certain ufologist, such as Stanton Friedman, the polls show that the majority of people do believe in UFOs and in fact they often show that the higher a persons education, or perhaps intelligence, the more likely one is to believe. One problem that hinders getting at the truth, are the frauds that have been exposed. Why one would choose to fake such an extraodinary claim is unclear. It does nothing short of discrediting the real evidence that may be out there. The purpose of this website is not to prove whether aliens in fact exist and have visited Earth. We only wish to show that we feel that there is at least enough evidence to warrant the need for serious scientific study and attention. Perhaps serious attention is already being given by certain groups or organizations, if the rumors of government cover-ups and secrecy hold any weight. From the subjects of early cave paintings to ancient art and scriptures, history would seem to indicate that we may have had visitors from other worlds or dimensions. In fact, some ancient scriptures from many different cultures, give the impression that it was common knowledge that we've had visitors from the stars. How do you explain ancient tales of chariots from the sky? And what of flying ships appearing in art far before the first plane was ever thought about. Even the Bible has been suggested as possible evidence of alien contact, for its numerous accounts of objects in the sky, wonderous miracles and other strange events. What secrets lie with ancient Egypt, Stonehenge, or possibly even Atlantis? Have there indeed been more advanced civilizations of man that have somehow been lost? It is based primarily on Remote Viewing sessions conducted by the author. Planet X Nibiru, if really exists and approaching, can be a big threat to the earth and its people. Michel de Nostredame predicted some kind of huge space collision that will occur around year 2000. Will the comet or asteroid really fall in the aegean sea (Greece) and huge tsunami will hit the mount Olympus (2917 metres high). If he is right and mayans as well, it looks like the end of the world is really close.

Nibiru (planet X) in predictions of Nostradamus
At first, what is Nibiru? According to sumerians, we (people) did not evolve from a monkeys to humans, but we were created by "gods" - not God. This story was buried long time in the sand of todays Iraq until 20. century. The texts describe gods as half lizard, half human creatures, capable of shape-shifting.

The Prophecies of St. Malachy

The most famous and best known prophecies about the popes are those attributed to St. Malachy, a medieval Irish priest and Kabbalist. In 1139 he went to Rome to give an account of the affairs of his diocese to the pope, Innocent II, who promised him two palliums for the metropolitan Sees of Armagh and Cashel. While at Rome, he received (according to the Abbot Cucherat) the strange vision of the future wherein was unfolded before his mind the long list of illustrious pontiffs who were to rule the Church until the end of time. The same author tells us that St. Malachy gave his manuscript to Innocent II to console him in the midst of his tribulations, and that the document remained unknown in the Roman Archives until its discovery in 1590 (Cucherat, "Proph. de la succession des papes", ch. xv). They were first published by Arnold de Wyon, and ever since there has been much discussion as to whether they are genuine predictions of St. Malachy or forgeries. The silence of 400 years on the part of so many learned authors who had written about the popes, and the silence of St. Bernard especially, who wrote the "Life of St. Malachy", is a strong argument against their authenticity, but it is not conclusive if we adopt Cucherat's theory that they were hidden in the Archives during those 400 years.

These short prophetical announcements, in number 112, indicate some noticeable trait of all future popes from Celestine II, who was elected in the year 1130, until the end of the world. They are enunciated under mystical titles. Those who have undertaken to interpret and explain these symbolical prophecies have succeeded in discovering some trait, allusion, point, or similitude in their application to the individual popes, either as to their country, their name, their coat of arms or insignia, their birth-place, their talent or learning, the title of their cardinalate, the dignities which they held etc. For example, the prophecy concerning Urban VIII is Lilium et Rosa (the lily and the rose); he was a native of Florence and on the arms of Florence figured a fleur-de-lis; he had three bees emblazoned on his escutcheon, and the bees gather honey from the lilies and roses. Again, the name accords often with some remarkable and rare circumstance in the pope's career; thus Peregrinus apostolicus (pilgrim pope), which designates Pius VI, appears to be verified by his journey when pope into Germany, by his long career as pope, and by his expatriation from Rome at the end of his pontificate. Those who have lived and followed the course of events in an intelligent manner during the pontificates of Pius IX, Leo XIII, and Pius X cannot fail to be impressed with the titles given to each by the prophecies of St. Malachy and their wonderful appropriateness: Crux de Cruce (Cross from a Cross) Pius IX; Lumen in caelo (Light in the Sky) Leo XIII; Ignis ardens (Burning Fire) Pius X. There is something more than coincidence in the designations given to these three popes so many hundred years before their time. We need not have recourse either to the family names, armorial bearings or cardinalatial titles, to see the fitness of their designations as given in the prophecies. The afflictions and crosses of Pius IX were more than fell to the lot of his predecessors; and the more aggravating of these crosses were brought on by the House of Savoy whose emblem was a cross. Leo XIII was a veritable luminary of the papacy. The present pope is truly a burning fire of zeal for the restoration of all things to Christ.

The last of these prophecies concerns the end of the world and is as follows: "In the final persecution of the Holy Roman Church there will reign Peter the Roman, who will feed his flock amid many tribulations, after which the seven-hilled city will be destroyed and the dreadful Judge will judge the people. The End." It has been noticed concerning Petrus Romanus, who according to St. Malachy's list is to be the last pope, that the prophecy does not say that no popes will intervene between him and his predecessor designated Gloria olivoe. It merely says that he is to be the last, so that we may suppose as many popes as we please before "Peter the Roman". Cornelius a Lapide refers to this prophecy in his commentary "On the Gospel of St. John" (C. xvi) and "On the Apocalypse" (cc. xvii-xx), and he endeavours to calculate according to it the remaining years of time (Catholic Encyclopedia, 1913).

Facts about LHC

The largest machine in the world...

The precise circumference of the LHC accelerator is 26 659 m, with a total of 9300 magnets inside. Not only is the LHC the world’s largest particle accelerator, just one-eighth of its cryogenic distribution system would qualify as the world’s largest fridge. All the magnets will be pre‑cooled to -193.2°C (80 K) using 10 080 tonnes of liquid nitrogen, before they are filled with nearly 60 tonnes of liquid helium to bring them down to -271.3°C (1.9 K).

The fastest racetrack on the planet...

At full power, trillions of protons will race around the LHC accelerator ring 11 245 times a second, travelling at 99.99% the speed of light. Two beams of protons will each travel at a maximum energy of 7 TeV (tera-electronvolt), corresponding to head-to-head collisions of 14 TeV. Altogether some 600 million collisions will take place every second.

The emptiest space in the Solar System...

To avoid colliding with gas molecules inside the accelerator, the beams of particles travel in an ultra-high vacuum – a cavity as empty as interplanetary space. The internal pressure of the LHC is 10^-13 atm, ten times less than the pressure on the Moon!

The hottest spots in the galaxy, but even colder than outer space...

The LHC is a machine of extreme hot and cold. When two beams of protons collide, they will generate temperatures more than 100 000 times hotter than the heart of the Sun, concentrated within a minuscule space. By contrast, the 'cryogenic distribution system', which circulates superfluid helium around the accelerator ring, keeps the LHC at a super cool temperature of -271.3°C (1.9 K) – even colder than outer space!

The biggest and most sophisticated detectors ever built...

To sample and record the results of up to 600 million proton collisions per second, physicists and engineers have built gargantuan devices that measure particles with micron precision. The LHC's detectors have sophisticated electronic trigger systems that precisely measure the passage time of a particle to accuracies in the region of a few billionths of a second. The trigger system also registers the location of the particles to millionths of a metre. This incredibly quick and precise response is essential for ensuring that the particle recorded in successive layers of a detector is one and the same.

The most powerful supercomputer system in the world...

The data recorded by each of the big experiments at the LHC will fill around 100 000 dual layer DVDs every year. To allow the thousands of scientists scattered around the globe to collaborate on the analysis over the next 15 years (the estimated lifetime of the LHC), tens of thousands of computers located around the world are being harnessed in a distributed computing network called the Grid

BIG BANG THEORY

The Big Bang theory is an effort to explain what happened at the very beginning of our universe. Discoveries in astronomy and physics have shown beyond a reasonable doubt that our universe did in fact have a beginning. Prior to that moment there was nothing; during and after that moment there was something: our universe. The big bang theory is an effort to explain what happened during and after that moment.

According to the standard theory, our universe sprang into existence as "singularity" around 13.7 billion years ago. What is a "singularity" and where does it come from? Well, to be honest, we don't know for sure. Singularities are zones which defy our current understanding of physics. They are thought to exist at the core of "black holes." Black holes are areas of intense gravitational pressure. The pressure is thought to be so intense that finite matter is actually squished into infinite density (a mathematical concept which truly boggles the mind). These zones of infinite density are called "singularities." Our universe is thought to have begun as an infinitesimally small, infinitely hot, infinitely dense, something - a singularity. Where did it come from? We don't know. Why did it appear? We don't know.

After its initial appearance, it apparently inflated (the "Big Bang"), expanded and cooled, going from very, very small and very, very hot, to the size and temperature of our current universe. It continues to expand and cool to this day and we are inside of it: incredible creatures living on a unique planet, circling a beautiful star clustered together with several hundred billion other stars in a galaxy soaring through the cosmos, all of which is inside of an expanding universe that began as an infinitesimal singularity which appeared out of nowhere for reasons unknown. This is the Big Bang theory.

DEC 21,2012 Doomsday ???

Many religions, calendars and prophecies point to Dec. 21, 2012 as the end of the world. Is this another "Theory of the Apocalypse" that will come and go like others we have seen, or is this one that we should be paying attention to?

Not so long ago, many people were convinced of the world’s impending doom.

Nostradamus predicted terror descending from the sky in July 1999. On New Year’s Day 2000, we made it unscathed through Y2K and the near-hysterical scenarios that every computer

across the planet would crash due to a basic time-keeping glitch.

So why does this prediction seem different?

One of the main theories driving this prophecy is that the Mayan calendar ends on Dec. 21, 2012. The Mayans studied our sun and made their prophecies based on the cycles of the sun.

Based on their observations, the Mayans predicted that from the initial date of the start of their civilization, 3113 B.C., one cycle being completed would be 5,125 years in their future, Dec. 21, 2012. The sun, having received a powerful ray of synchronizing light from the center of the galaxy, would change its polarity which would produce a great cosmic event that would propel human kind to be ready to cross into a new era, "The Golden Age."

A second sign is the increase of natural disasters leading up to the date. Natural disasters have devastated the earth throughout history, and in recent years we have seen just about everything -- hurricanes, tornadoes, typhoons, earthquakes and floods.

One prediction that the U.S. is headed for five natural disasters has some believing in the doomsday theory.

Another factor is that many of the world’s religions and most famous prophets reference something cataclysmic happening around Dec. 21, 2012. The medieval predictions of Merlin, the Book of Revelation and the Chinese oracle of the I Ching all point to this specific date as the end of civilization.

Also, one of the best known catholic

prophets, Irishman maelmhaedhoc o'Morgair, better known as St. Malachy, predicts that the Pope after John Paul II would be the last.

Then there are those who believe in the famous predictions of Nostradamus. Those studying the Prophecies of Nostradamus say that he has indicated the possibility of a Third World War.

It is believed that a major terrorist attack on the U.S., assassination of some world leaders and another war in the Middle East may precede the Third World War, as well as numerous natural disasters. Sounds a lot like the world we live in today.

There is also this tie in to modern-day technology. The Web Bot Project, developed in the late 1990s to assist in making stock market predictions using a system of spiders to crawl the Internet and search for keywords, much like a search engine does, also came up with the same date.

Skeptics point to a long history of "Failed Doomsdays," but many oracles of doom throughout history have a disturbingly accurate track record.

How real is WWE ??

You will be saying yes I know tell me something new! Well but there are still those who believe all the results of the match are real, sorry for bursting there bubbles though . The results of all the matches are already decided and believe it or not there are script writers in WWE who write how a match should procced. This is done to get the crowd to edge of there seats. This is the reason the matches have such a dramatic end.

For the Hindu, the Himalaya abounds in pilgrimage spots. There are sacred sites near rivers, mountains, caves... The landscape is high in religious density, giving to the whole region a sanctity that permeates the casual visitor even as it astounds the religious-minded for whom a pilgrimage is the high point of their lives

In the religious barometer, Amarnath (3,888 metres) located in a narrow gorge in Jammu and Kashmir, has a high reading. Legend has it that Lord Shiva recounted to Goddess Parvati the secret of creation in a cave there. Unknown to them, a pair of mating doves eavesdropped on the conversation. It is believed that the pair of doves have made the cave their eternal abode and are reborn again and again. Even today many pilgrims report seeing a pair of doves at the end of their trek to the ice-lingam (the phallic symbol of Lord Shiva) at Amarnath.

During Shravan (July-August), the devoted flock to the cave where the ice stalagmite is flanked by two more ice-lingams , those of goddess Parvati and her son, the elephant-headed god, Ganesha. The regularity of the devotion is matched only by the pair of doves (the original couple?) that has, till today, not taken flight.

Yet another linga was found in Uttaranchal. Here, an over 100-feet deep cave forms the holy altar of Lord Shiva.

Patal Bhuvaneshwar in the Kumaon hills encapsulates in stone aeons of Hindu mythology. It is believed that a king discovered the cave and that the first guru, Shankaracharya, consecrated it. For the last eight centuries, the same family of priests has been performing worship in that spot. Each day, the priest descends 82 steps into the earth through a three-feet-high opening that serves as a comprehensive introduction to Hindu mythology.

The stalactites that loom ahead are said to be the jatas or tresses of Lord Shiva and the fearsome snake that can be dimly seen is none other than Sheshnaga -teeth, jaws and poison sac all in place as he keeps to his mighty duty of holding up the world.

Patal Bhuvaneshwar, in fact, has more than one connection with snakes. It is said to be the site of a havana kund (a sacrifice) held by a son whose father had been cursed with death by a snake bite. His father was a king-Raja Parikshat, much liked by the gods. But despite the havana, which destroyed all snakes, the curse came to pass. A snake hid in a flower basket given to the king, as an offering for the ceremony by Lord Brahma and stung the king.

However, death is hardly the theme of the cave, which is more a site for prayers to grant liberation. There is a hollow in the rocks that is said to represent the mouth of Kal Bhairav’s mount, a dog. If the visitor can go inside it and reach the tail, he is sure to end the cycle of birth and rebirth. If not, one can always go to the sanctum sanctorum and pray for eternal freedom to the copper-gilded Shivalinga, the symbol of a god who is the very embodiment of paradox and duality; who brings the universe to an end with his dance of destruction (tandava ); who grants moksha (liberation or nirvana ) with the mere bestowal of grace; who plays the besotted lover to goddess Parvati and is yet the supreme ascetic.

At Patal Bhuvaneshwar, his lingam resides in the womb of the earth, along with the figures and legends of mythology. No mortal has yet prised open their mouths to reveal who sculpted them in a silent frenzy of stone.

Sabarimala flame is man made, admits priest!!

After a crackdown on fake godmen now the Left Front government is planning to unravel the mystery behind the celestial light at the hill shrine of Sabarimala. For the first time it admitted that the divine light is a man-made phenomenon, not a miracle.

Temple supreme priest Kandararu Mahewararu was the first to make the confession that there was nothing godly behind the mystery flame that flickers thrice on the Makara Sankranti (Makaram first) day every year sending million of devotees into frenzy.

State Temple Affairs Minister G. Sudhakaran and the Travanore Devasom Board (TDB), which manages the affairs of temple, backed the priest’s contention.

Known as ‘Makara Vilakku’ the light blinks thrice at the forest on top of the Ponnambalamedu, some distance away from the hill temple, on the evening of Makara Sankranti when the three-month seasonal pilgrimage touches its peak. Millions of devotees converge at the hilltop to witness the celestial light.

Though the government and TDB disowned the divine light, former TDB chief Raman Nair claimed that the police and the TDB officials jointly light the fire on the orders of the state government. Now rationalists and others have asked the government to tender an apology for “deceiving million of devotees for years together.” Rationalists had claimed for years that the light was lit by TDB officials.
